Pickwell Barton is a working farm that has been in our family for over 100 years! We have private access through the meadow to the beach. There is Award winning food, drink, activities and adventures are all across the region that will ensure everyone has so much to make their holiday special.
Andrew and Jane welcome you to their lovely working farm where they have a beautiful Cottage, formerly the Coachman’s accommodation, located in the most stunning location. Our sheep, cattle and arable farm overlooks Lundy Island and two of the UK’s best beaches, namely Putsborough and Woolacombe. The cottage has retained many original features that date back to the mid 19th Century with a wood burner, oak beams along with some lovely unique quirky bits. The age of the cottage means you have spacious rooms, that offer everything today's multi-generational families require to make their holiday very special. It is equipped to a very high standard. It has its own private garden and parking. We know that whilst staying with us you experience both country and coastal life all in one.

The Cottage:
Pickwell Barton Cottage, which backs onto the original stables (now the cottages’ private 'Pop-up' games room) sleeps 6. It has 3 bedrooms that consists of 2 King size bedrooms and a twin that offers you complete flexibility to you and your family. The cottage is full of charm with ordinal oak beams and the odd quirky low door! The farmhouse kitchen is spacious, warm and inviting, as is the lounge with cosy sofa and chairs and a log burning stove that makes the space lovely and “toasty”. The cottage has its own parking for three cars, along with a beautiful enclosed private garden, with spacious patio that has a gas barbecue, comfy garden furniture and courtyard. Whilst you’re staying with us you also have private access through the fields to the beach, and we give you free parking at Putsborough Beach. This beach has been voted Best Beach in UK 3 times in the last 10 years.
