Blacklake Farm is an organic farm. We are one of the Soil Association's nominated demonstration farms. You will find details of us on the Soil Association website. When you stay at the Hay House you will experience being on a traditional working farm. It is not a large farm, nor heavily mechanised so you can enjoy farmlife as most people would like it - cows, sheep, hens all around in the fields and barns. Lots of small fields with masses of hedgerows and many coppices, mature trees, and being on East Hill at about 500 feet above sea level - wonderful views over the East Devon countryside. We welcome questions about our farming activity. On arrival we will give you a map of the farm with the best routes for farm walks. You can also sample our organic produce as everything we produce at Blacklake Farm, we sell direct to the public - from organic beef to wool scarves!
