Lynton & Lynmouth offers everyone something to enjoy. Wonder at England’s highest sea cliffs rising 800 feet out of the sea, walk one of the country’s deepest river gorges. With its ‘Heritage Coast’, the 2nd highest tides in the world and the longest stretch of wooded coast in the British Isles, why not come and see for yourself!
With unique local shops and plenty of choice for restaurants you could spend a whole day between the two villages which are joined by the famous Cliff Railway, built in 1888. It is the highest water-powered railway in the world.
The National Trust area of Watersmeet is a spectacular woodland and river walk at anytime of the year. Be sure to take time to enjoy a Devon Cream tea after your walk.
Just around the corner is the dramatic Valley of the Rocks with stunning views extending out to the Atlantic.
