Nestled within the beautiful East Devon countryside, Barritshayes is the ideal place to get away from it all.
An absolutely ideal retreat for families or couples in an idyllic location.
We have 3 cottages and a cabin sleeping 2-6 plus cots. Book multiple cottages to accommodate up to 14.
The Dairy, Granary and Swallows were renovated in winter 22/23 and the Cider Barn has just launched for Spring 2024.
Each cottage has a secure, enclosed garden, games, walking guides and an information pack with tips and recommendations for the area.
The games room has table tennis, table football, air hockey and more. Explore our small vineyard, orchard and paddocks. We regularly spot roe deer in the grounds.

We are set in the Coly valley just outside Colyton in the beautiful rolling hills of the East Devon National Landscape and close to the Jurassic Coast.
Colyton is a pretty town with pubs, an award winning butchers and a beautiful church amongst other amenities. A tram runs from the town down to Seaton.
Bird watchers will love Seaton Wetlands where you can watch wading birds, wildfowl, dragonflies, butterflies and possibly even otters.
Lyme Regis is a 20 minute drive away and offers a great day out for all - build sandcastles and paddle, swim or paddle board in the sea, go rock pooling, fossil hunting or just for a mooch round the great shops, cafes and restaurants.
Beer, Sidmouth and Dartmoor National Park are also within easy reach together with numerous attractions that appeal to all ages and tastes such as Bicton Botanical Gardens, World of Country Life and Crealy Theme Park.
Treat yourself to a meal at the Oyster and Fish House by Mark Hix in Lyme Regis, River Cottage or The Pig at Coombe.
Enjoy walks, cycling or horse riding in the beautiful East Devon countryside. We love to walk from Beer to Branscombe and enjoy a well-earned pint or glass of wine and meal at the dog-friendly Masons Arms.

When not out exploring the beautiful coast and countryside on foot or by bike, take a dip in our heated outdoor pool (May-Sep), work up a sweat on the tennis court or relax in our games room. Then head out for great food at one of the many pubs in the area or treat yourself to a feast at River Cottage.
