Saturday 24th May from 12.00 noon
50% off admission charges on the day!
The celebration starts at 12 noon at the Visitor Centre. Joss Ackland C.B.E., world-famous actor, will open the celebrations by cutting the ribbon – and the birthday cake and draw the lucky winner of the word competition in the North Devon Journal.
There'll be a brass band concert, raffle with big prizes, bargain pots of mouth-watering Clovelly strawberries and cream for sale and big discounts or special offers at the Visitor Centre. And to finish, there's an evening of exciting live music at the Visitor Centre.
Join in the prize balloon race! Buy one of 400 helium-filled balloons and watch them go into the skies (the one that goes the furthest wins the prize). There'll also be a crazy ball race down the cobbles to win £50.
It's all to raise funds in support of the North Devon Hospice, so do come along to support this worthy cause.
According to our calculations, we expect our 5 millionth visitor to Clovelly around mid May, who will be rewarded by the owner, The Hon. John Rous, with the FREEDOM OF THE VILLAGE for a year.

This is ocean racing, battling against wave after wave in what is, after all, nothing more than a large rowing boat
